Versatile One
Description
Finally a choice!
Negative Pressure Wound Therapy (NPWT), or Closed Wound Suction (CWS) is a noninvasive treatment by which controlled localized negative pressure (suction) is delivered to a wide variety of acute, subacute, and chronic wounds.
In 1989, Mark Chariker and Katherine Jeter developed a technique utilizing standard surgical dressings and wall suction to create a “vacuum” that aided in wound healing. In 1997, Dr. Michael Morykwas and Dr. Lewis Argenta studied the use of suction applied to polyurethane foam in wounds. Shortly after, KCI launched the product the V.A.C.® and later received Medicare B approval. Further innovations into the use of closed wound suction were made by Blue Sky Medical with the Versatile One® System.
Enjoy considerable cost savings, fast and efficient service and training, and ongoing follow-up with the Versatile One® negative pressure wound therapy system.
New Portable Wound Vacuum
Introducing the Vista NPWT. At only 4.3 lbs, the Versatile 1™ Portable is light enough to be picked up and carried anywhere with you. The optional carrying case offers even more convenience. Safety features include the Aqualert™ alarm to detect overflow; low vacuum alarm to detect dressing leaks; low battery alarm to prevent power interruptions; and single lumen sensing technology to help protect against high vacuum conditions.
Consistent with BlueSky Medical’s product line, the V1STA™ uses lower, safer, and less painful vacuum levels. It also features simpler dressing changes that are easy to teach. Its antimicrobial gauze also allows for fewer dressing changes. Our pump can be disconnected for longer periods of time (up to 4 hours), giving patients freedom and mobility. We carry a variety of drains – one for every type of wound, including tunnels.
Simple dressing kits utilize conventional dressings that greatly reduce pain associated with Negative Pressure Therapy dressing changes. The kits are customized to meet individual patients needs, including tunneling, fistulas, multiple, and shallow wounds.

The Versatile One ®
• Is FDA Approved to promote wound healing
• Provides continuous or intermittent negative pressure from 25 to 380 mmHg
• Provides two forms of overflow protection
• Has the option of a battery backup and car charger
• Dressing kits that contain supplies making dressing changes and training simple
• Holds an extra large 800 ml canister with odor control and overflow protection
• Has dressings made from soft, conformable materials treated with anti-microbial agents
Closed Wound Suction (CWS) or Negative Pressure Wound Therapy (NPWT)
performs the following actions:
• Removes edema and allows tissue decompression
• Contracts the wound
• Aids in granulation tissue growth
• Protects the wound environment
• Increases vascular perfusion
• Increases mitosis
• Reduces bio-burden
• Maintains a moist wound bed
• Brings epithelial cells to the site.
NPWT is indicated for many types of wounds:
• Full thickness pressure ulcers
• Dehisced surgical wounds
• Neuropathic wounds
• Chronic venous insufficiency
• Surgical flap/graft closure
• Ob/Gyn surgery
NPWT is contraindicated for:
• Malignancy in the wound bed
• Nutritionally Compromised Patients (Albumin < 2.0)
• Exposed organs, blood vessels, major structures exposed
• Untreated Osteomyelitis
• Multi-System Failure to thrive
• Systemic Steroids
• Noncompliant patients
