1099 Contract Positions

SunMED Medical Solutions is building a national network of Compression Garment Fitters. We are looking to train and hire for part time 1099 work in your immediate area.

This position is great for a self-starter seeking a flexible work schedule. The ideal candidate will possess outstanding customer service skills with a strong “let’s take care of the patient” attitude.

Knowledge of Compression and experience with measuring patients is preferred but we will train the right candidate. It is imperative to have excellent computer skills which include Microsoft Office, Outlook, and general file navigation.

Candidates must be comfortable on the phone and in person speaking with patients and clinicians.

You must have your own reliable transportation. Patients can either come to your office/clinic or you can travel to their home or therapist office for fittings for lymphedema compression garments and pumps products.

Lymphedema Customer Care Specialist

Responsibilities:

  • Utilize our order processing system, Brightree
  • Update patient information into the computer system
  • Submit requests for missing documentation to doctors/clinicians
  • Ensure all documentation is in the patient’s file before placing an order
  • Effectively share your knowledge of Lymphedema and other compression therapy products with customers and use that knowledge when processing orders
  • Manage orders/referrals from initial intake to order placement
  • Provide excellent customer service to patients and our referral sources, communicating effectively while conveying empathy and respect.
  • Relay insurance benefits to patients and or referral sources
  • Maintain relationships with referral sources
  • Provide support to outside sales representatives
  • Collect and process patient payments in Brightree
  • Create purchase orders and send to manufacturers via fax/email/or manufacturer websites

Qualifications:

  • Previous telephonic or face-to-face customer service experience
  • Comfort with discussing financial responsibility with patients
  • Previous experience working with compression garments Brightree experience is a plus
  • Familiarity of medical terminology
  • Strong sense of urgency and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to multitask in a fast paced environment
  • Excellent time management skills, organization, and with strong attention to detail
  • Adaptability to new processes and technology
  • Superior/excellent computer skills using remote access and a computer network, which includes thorough knowledge of Outlook and more than a basic familiarity with Excel.
  • The ability and acumen to understand software platforms and how to use them effectively
  • Eventual complete knowledge of these platforms is essential to be effective in this position

SNAP Customer Care Specialist

Responsibilities:

  • Utilize our order processing system, Brightree, to input referral information and manage orders up until the point of billing
  • Reach out to providers to request return of fully completed or required but missing clinical documentation, necessary to process an order according to the department/insurance payor’s guidelines
  • Share your knowledge of DME products with customers
  • Advise the patients and referral sources of the patient’s insurance coverage, advising of any out-of-pocket expenses that would be incurred to process the order
  • Provide excellent customer service to patients, referral sources as well as our business partners
  • Communicating effectively with patients, therapists and other health care professionals
  • Maintain a relationship with referral sources
  • Create purchase orders and send to manufacturers via fax/email/or manufacturer websites

Qualifications:

  • Previous customer service experience, telephonic or face-to-face.
  • Comfortable with discussing insurance coverage and financial responsibility with patients
  • Able to work in a fast paced environment with strong attention to detail is essential
  • Brightree experience is a plus
  • Familiarity of medical terminology Strong sense of urgency and problem-solving skills
